Contest Rules (General)

• Creations must be uploaded to Sporepedia
• Include the event name as a tag on the Creation (same as the event’s channel name)
• Post an image of your creation in the event’s channel, along with a link to the Sporepedia entry
• Creations must be created after the event start date, and posted before the event end date
• Entries that do not meet the event criteria will be disqualified

Contest Prizes (General)

• Creation Featured in Sporepedia
• Custom role in Discord
• Any additional prizes disclosed for individual events

A new update is out for MySims Cozy Bundle, which includes mostly bug fixes and one new feature, the ability to turn off the automatic camera rotatio. Download via your Nintendo Switch.

Happy 2025, we hope you all had a great new year celebrating with DJ Candy, Bobaboo and co!

As promised at the end of last year, we are here with another patch update to fix some more issues. Once again, we wanted to say thank you to the community for sharing your love and creativity!

January 29 Patch Notes:

New Features:

• Ability to turn off automatic camera rotation to aid with players who may be more sensitive to motion

Fixed Bugs:

• Unintended duplication and disappearance of certain NPCs in MySims (which in some cases, caused infinite loading screens upon achieving 5 stars)
• Furniture disappearing from player houses in MySims
• PC exclusive NPCs no longer t-pose in MySims
• Players can now scroll through all essences while decorating in MySims
• Buddy no longer has a phantom task in MySims: Kingdom
• All NPCs can reach Best Friend Status in MySims: Kingdom
• Randomize in CAS now randomizes skin tone in MySims: Kingdom
• The dragon costume head on Trevor’s Island has its correct dragon texture
• Bunnies’ positions will now reset when leaving Trevor’s Island during the herding quest to prevent softlocks on that quest
• After hitting exit on Fishing, player character no longer automatically re-enters Fishing
• Audio bugs of only one song playing, and cutscene voices being low, have been adjusted

Description

FreeSO was an reimplementation of The Sims Online (TSO) maintained by the community. It contained the original TSO files which came from EA’s own servers and had some additional content and features added. It was not been endorsed by EA.

GAMEfest was hosted by GAME at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham, it ran from 16-18 September 2011.

EA showcased The Sims 3 Pets for Xbox 360.

The Sims 3 Generations event was held in London, can’t remember the venue name or when it happened.

We did an audio interview with a SimGuru but due to time constraints we had to do in the room where everyone was playing. Unfortunately the audio is hard to transcript.

I believe I still have the audio but no pictures unfortunately due to loss of hard drive.

The Sims Medieval event was held at Hever Castle in Kent. I believe in March 2011.

The Sims Spark’d is a reality competition show with some of the most creative Simmers, who compete in weekly challenges. Twelve contestants will compete for the $100,000 prize.

How to Watch

The Sims Spark’d is broadcast on TBS on Fridays and on BuzzFeed Multiplayer on Mondays.
